Give hope by the gallon - UNICEF

One billion people desperately need it.

Three children die every minute without it.

And all we have to do is turn on a faucet to get as much of it as we want...whenever we want. This year alone, millions of children will die from water-borne diseases because they do not have access to safe drinking water and basic sanitation.
But you can help change that right now.

UNICEF's water and sanitation programs provide the tools families need to help themselves: by drilling water wells, cleaning impure water, removing parasites, and adopting safe hygiene practices to protect children's health and survival.

Here's how your year-end holiday donation can help:

  • Your $30 donation can provide micro-filters for 12 families to remove guinea worm larvae from drinking water.
  • Your $47 donation can buy 1,000 pounds of stable bleaching powder to disinfect contaminated drinking water.
  • Your $101 donation can provide 10 Basic Family Water kits for use in emergency situations.

In today's world—with populations growing and access to fresh water supplies growing more scarce by the minute—UNICEF's water and sanitation programs are more important than ever to ensure the survival of children.
If you've ever considered supporting UNICEF's work, please make a gift today to save children's lives.

Share trading for Beginners/Novice/Idiots/Dummies

Recently as the indian market is back to 18000, I am thinking of investing money into shares. Shares are at Low price and going down Today market at 3:00 PM IST went down by 76 points and still people are optimitic regarding shares that the index is going to rise to and cross 20000 mark sometime this month!!!. So rounding this I am trying to improve my knowledge for share trading . This is what I found on the net.

What does trading stocks mean?
Buying and selling of stocks is know as trading in the stock/financial market.
It has to be done thought a broker. You can trade either electronically or on the exchange floor. Electronic transaction is very common today. It is an efficient and fast method of stock trading. Both involes a broker but you receive confirmations almost immediately onscreen alert.

How are the stock prices for a specific company determined?
The stock prices are unpredictable, they fall they rise. It depend on various factors like political unrest, if there is a huge demand for a particular share at a given time, prices can fluctuate, any event that could adversely affect the company will also cause the share prices to drop.

Before investing you should ask yourself these questions. I suppose these will give me a better idea of how it works and how to gain/loose money into the market:
Do you know the company well enough?
What is the company's reputation in the market?
Have you gone through their annual report?
Do you have the confidence to invest in this company?
Is some negative news about the company circulating?
How are analysts predicting the future?
How is the management of the company?
What are their growth prospects?
Am I aware of the insider activity?
Is it an internationally renowned company?
How is their marketing strategy?
Have there been any changes in the management recently?
How consistent has been their performance?
Has there been a sudden shift in their production?

WORD OF CAUTION:
Whenever you invest you should be aware of your limits and be in your pants! Share market involves a lot of risk , risk taking could either lead to heaven or the hell.

THE BASICS OR DAILY ROUTINE AND CHECKUP:
You should avoid investing money more than you can actually afford.
Know about your investment well and do not blindly depend upon your broker.
Follow regular stock market quotes to keep yourself abreast of the market swings.

The New Generation Wife

A newly wed girl was being welcomed at the husband's home in a
traditional manner.

She was asked to give a little speech. She addressed as follows:

"My dear family members, I thank you for welcoming me in my new home and
family", she said. Firstly, with my presence
I would not want to create any inconveniences. I mean that I don't want you
all to change your way of life, your routine."
"What do you mean my child?" asked the Head of the family.

What I mean dad is:

Those who used to wash dishes must carry on washing them.
Those who used to do the laundry must carry on doing it.
Those who cooked shouldn't stop on my account.
Those who used to clean should clean.

As for me, I am here just to entertain your son!
