It is known as Qype.co.uk.They collect data and reviews from its users for everything from restaurants  and hairdressers to plumbers and legal services.  The plus point of this data store is the customer review. Real people, real reviews: this came to my mind when I checked out qype. Qype is all about sharing experiences and swapping recommendations for the best and the worst places or services around the world. 

After registering on the website which is damn easy! I found out about the following features.
A Registered member gets access to a directory to search for businesses, read ongoing discussions on existing entries.  To make it easy for users to browse the qype team has created categories from eating and drinking to pets etc. Features such as adding reviews, or comments to a discussion are only available to verified accounts which is albeit free. Other features such as tagging, private messaging, friend lists, forums or communities are also present.

Also qype supports creation of new places, uploading of photos and reviews in German, English and French.

One of the great features that I liked at Qype.co.uk is the listing the local events on the website. Depending upon the popularity of the event among the users the event is classified and ranked. So if you are new to London you can just log in to qype and check for an awesome local event, visit the event and cherish the memories of that event for your life. 

Summarizing, qype is a good tool to find out about places. I would recommend a user to go through qype from a tourist point-of-view.  Qype lets you find out about local places and their rating in a split second making it easy to make up the mind hehe…
